If you have dreams of starting your own business, working in a business setting, or are interested in marketing, our Business courses offered at Rotherham College provide the perfect platform to reach your goals.

Our business courses provide you with an understanding of core business areas enabling you to gain important employability skills in communication, teamwork, leadership, research and time management. You’ll gain key skills to start a career in the business sector within finance, customer service, Human Resources or marketing.

HR Officer

Average salary - £24,200*

Human Resources (HR) Officers hire employees, help develop their careers and look after employee relations, benefits and welfare.

Day-to-day tasks:

Assisting with recruiting new employees, keeping employee records updated, organising training and development for employees, promoting equality and health and safety and advising on pay negotiations and employment law.**

Marketing Manager

Average salary - £29,900*

Marketing Managers review company marketing activity and plan and develop product promotion, brand management and integrated communications marketing plans.

Day-to-day tasks:

Create marketing and social media strategies, manage a team of marketing employees, plan and manage the launch of new products and services, set budgets and timelines, oversee campaign content and communications, organise and attend events and create reports.**
