T-Levels

New technical based qualifications preparing students for work, further training or study

We will be delivering T-Levels from September 2023 which offer students a mixture of classroom learning and an industry placement of 315 hours (45 days) where you will be fully integrated into the workplace.

T-Levels are two-year technical programmes, designed with employers, to give young people the practical skills and knowledge that industries need. The ‘T’ stands for technical and they are an alternative to A levels. One T- Level is equivalent to 3 A levels and will be assessed using a mixture of practical tasks, projects and exams.

Students who achieve a T-Level will get a nationally recognised certificate which employers will use as evidence in their recruitment.

We will be offering T-Levels in:

  • Construction
  • Digital
  • Education and Childcare
  • Health and Science

Once you have completed a T-Level course, you will be able to progress onto:

  • A skilled occupation
  • Higher or degree level apprenticeships
  • Further study including Higher Technical Qualifications or Higher Education

“I’m doing this for myself, to improve my skills and so I have better opportunities. To anyone who thinks they’re too old to study I would say: it’s never too late to chase your dreams.”

“I'm enjoying meeting new people with similar interests.”
