Start by thinking about your future career, where do you see yourself in five years for example? What steps are required to get you there? That’s also a great way to help you decide what course to study.
Next look at what you enjoy, what are your hobbies and interests? It’s much easier to be motivated when you’re studying something you enjoy, so it makes sense to study something you have an interest in, maybe people enjoy working with computers, and see IT as a safe and secure career.
