Students working at the Motor Vehicle workshop

Open Event | Wednesday 25th March 2020

25 February 2020

On Wednesday 25th March from 3.30pm to 6.30pm, Dearne Valley College will open its doors to potential students and host an interactive Open Event to share the range of courses and apprenticeships available.

The event gives potential students the opportunity to learn more about the wide range of study options we offer and ask our expert tutors and support staff any questions they may have including the different types of support available for learners.

Dearne Valley College boasts incredible purpose-built facilities; including extensive sport and wellbeing facilities and the latest hybrid cars in our modern automotive centre. The facilities are designed with the needs of students in mind, and to prepare learners for progression into the world of work.

The event is your chance to take part in interactive demonstrations, meet our industry-experienced tutors and important support services including student support and our careers and employability team.

You will be encouraged to explore your career options, discuss your next steps and get a feel for the courses and apprenticeships available to you.

You’ll also be able to discuss our upcoming new courses in Animal Care and Land-based Industries, including Horticulture, Forestry and Arboriculture.

You’re more than welcome to bring friends and family to the event, we offer plenty of free parking so you can share your open day experience with your loved ones.

Only people interested in studying with us and their parents/carers need a ticket, however, your friends and other family members are more than welcome to come along. You don’t need to bring a printed copy of your ticket with you to the event, as we will ask for your full name when you arrive.

Book a place now and see how Dearne Valley College can help you meet your ambitions!
