Dearne Valley College will be hosting an Open Event on Wednesday 17th November, taking place from 3.30pm-6.30pm. The event is aimed at students who are looking to study with us in the next academic year. You can learn all about our courses and take the next steps in your chosen career path.
Our tutors and careers counsellors will be on hand to answer all your questions about our courses and advise you on all options available to you. Our Open Events offer you the opportunity to tour our facilities and see first-hand where you’ll be learning – Whether it’s in one of our Construction and Automotive workshops, our state-of-the-art Gym and fitness facility or our Hair and Beauty salon, which is open to the public.

Based in Wath-upon-Dearne, we offer a wide range of courses, degrees, and apprenticeships in subjects such as Animal Care, Sport, Public Services, Childcare, Construction, Computing, Hair and Beauty, Health and Social Care, Horticulture and Motor Vehicle. Our modern, friendly campus allows for a tight-knit learning community where our students feel right at home and supported throughout their studies.
There are three one-hour sessions available to book on both dates, allowing you to drop by at a time that works best for you and avoid queuing at check-in. The slots available are 3.30pm – 4.30pm, 4.30pm – 5.30pm, and 5.30pm – 6.30pm.
Do my friends and family also need a ticket?
Only people interested in studying with us and their parents/carers need a ticket, however, your friends and other family members are more than welcome to accompany you should you wish them to.
Do I need to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No – we’ll only ask for your full name when you arrive.
Is there parking available?
Free on-site parking is available in front of the main entrance.
