Brew Monday
On the 15th January we hosted a Brew Monday coffee morning at Dearne Valley College to help raise funds for the Samaritans, staff and students were invited to come for a cuppa and a catch up to talk to others and put their wellbeing first.
The third Monday of January is sometimes referred to as the ‘most difficult day of the year’ or Blue Monday, so hosting a Brew Monday was the perfect opportunity to help combat any negative feelings and be around others to support them and yourself.
Our students from all departments came to participate, play games and connect with others. We also had our Pets for Therapy dog Rufus attend to provide support for all at the College.
