Sport Lecturer and GB Basketball Coach Hopes for a Slam-dunk at Eurobasket Women 2019
Vanessa Ellis is not only a higher education Sport Lecturer at Dearne Valley College, but also acts as assistant coach to Great Britain’s women’s basketball team and will be travelling across Europe to compete at this year’s Eurobasket tournament.
The competition kicks off with training in Manchester before the first tournament taking place in Slovenia. If they succeed, the GB team will go onto compete against Canada, eventually travelling to Madrid in Spain, Riga in Latvia and finally Belgrade for the semi-final and final.
