Students Conclude Academic Year with Thrilling Construction Pressure Test

As the academic year draws to a close, construction students recently participated in the final pressure test of the year, marking the culmination of a year filled with healthy, hands-on competition.

The event provided a dynamic platform for students to apply the skills and knowledge they’ve learned throughout their studies, all while enjoying a bit of spirited rivalry.

This pressure test challenged students to work in pairs and build a half brick wall 10 course high, 2015mm long with a half round joint finish. The atmosphere was filled with a mixture of intense focus, collaborative problem-solving, and good-natured banter as they raced against the clock to complete their builds.

Throughout the year, a series of similar pressure test competitions have served as a cornerstone of the curriculum, offering a refreshing and engaging alternative to traditional learning methods.

These events have not only reinforced theoretical concepts but have also honed critical practical skills. More importantly, they’ve fostered a sense of teamwork and healthy competition among students, transforming learning into an enjoyable and memorable experience.
