Rotherham College is proud to support the national ‘Love Our Colleges’ campaign running as part of Colleges Week from Monday 18th October to Friday 22nd October.
Colleges Weeks is a brilliant opportunity to celebrate and highlight the opportunities Colleges can provide their students, and the driving force they can act as to affect positive change in the communities they serve. It illustrates the need for investment in the Further Education sector.
Reminds local communities the fantastic futures College can help them achieve by accessing their courses, staff, and facilities.
Raises awareness about the journeys that our students and graduates take, showing them as excellent examples of what you can achieve when you put your mind to it in a supportive learning environment.
Jason Austin, CEO and Principal for the RNN Group, backs the campaign for a boost in Further Education funding.

“Seeing the life changing impact of our colleges to thousands of students and apprentices every year is so rewarding. During Love Our Colleges Week we are celebrating the hard work and achievements of our learners and staff and the excellent relationships we have with employers and other external partners. This year we also celebrate and shine a spotlight on our resilience through the global pandemic and our continued commitment to education, despite the challenges we have all faced.”
RNN Group’s family of colleges (Rotherham College, North Notts College and Dearne Valley College) continue to deliver top-class learning in dedicated facilities. Important skills are taught by industry-experienced tutors. RNN Group’s staff continue to devote their professionalism and passion to working in education environments.
Gathering national support, the campaign is led by The Association of Colleges in partnership with the National Union of Students, Association of School and College Leaders, University and Colleges Union, Unison, GMB, TUC and National Education Union.

“Being at College puts you in a work-based mindset rather than a strict educational one. Being here gets you ready for work with whatever you want to progress onto. I’ve also been able to meet professionals in the workplace and get an idea of what the industry is like.”
