This 15-credit Level 4 HN Flex unit develops reflective practice, professional identity and continuing professional development for early years education and care.
You will review principles and purposes of reflective practice, use reflection models and techniques, create a professional development plan, and evaluate interactions with children, caregivers and colleagues
Study a focused Level 4 unit while strengthening reflective practice, leadership behaviours and workplace performance with support from experienced early years staff.
Applicants normally need a relevant Level 3 qualification, Access to HE Diploma, A Levels, or appropriate industry experience. Entry and prior technical knowledge are discussed at interview.
Successful completion provides 15 Level 4 credits and a Pearson Certificate of Unit Credit. The learning supports progression to further HN Flex units or a relevant Higher National qualification through recognition of prior learning or top-up, subject to Pearson rules and college approval.
