Get Your Gloves On! Gardening Week Blooms at Dearne Valley College!

We’re celebrating Gardening Week by getting our hands dirty!

As a land-based college, we’re all about embracing the great outdoors, and our campus is a green haven for staff and students alike. 

More Than Just Classrooms

We’re not your average college. We’ve got: 

• Polytunnels galore: Bursting with life and learning, our multiple polytunnels are where you’ll help to grow a wide range of organic produce. 

• A 12-acre forest: Yes, you read that right! Our very own forest provides a unique learning environment where you will combine creativity with nature and science in our outdoor facilities. 

• Animal encounters: We are home to various farmyard residents, such as chickens, goats, and we’ve even got alpacas roaming around! 

• Pond-side relaxation: Our picturesque pond offers a tranquil escape right outside the front doors, we often have 2 ducks who visit and reside here, and they’ve just welcomed 14 ducklings! 

• Courtyard cosiness: Our courtyard nook is a green retreat, complete with planters, shrubbery, blooming flowers and trees.
