Ever wondered what happens on campus when the last exam is done and everyone vanishes for the summer?
If you walked through the main doors right now, you’d hear… well, your own footsteps echoing down the street like a dramatic movie trailer!
It’s quiet. Too quiet. But while the bustling crowds of students are gone, the campus hasn’t gone to sleep. Behind the scenes, a dedicated crew is keeping the gears turning.
Here is your official look at who is currently manning the stations
- The Mark-A-Thon Masters (Teaching Staff): Yes, your teachers are still here! They are currently barricaded behind stacks of marking, fuelled by coffee and determination. Rumour has it, if you listen closely to the staffroom doors, you can hear the faint, scratch-scratch of pens…
- The Critter Crew (Animal Care Technicians): Our campus animals didn’t get the memo about summer vacation. They still expect breakfast, lunch, dinner, and premium head scratches on time. Our amazing team of technicians are in every day making sure the residents are pampered, happy, and wondering where their extra student fans went.
- The Grounds and Gears Crew (Caretakers): With nobody walking on the lawns, the grass is staging a coup. Luckily, our caretakers are out with the mowers, keeping the grounds looking like a five-star resort. They’re also tackling the heavy-duty maintenance projects that are impossible to do when the hallways are filled with students.
- The Dust Busters (Cleaners) Speaking of maintenance, we have contractors in doing major upgrades around the site. This means dust and mess. Lots of it. Our cleaning team is performing daily miracles, battling the construction mess and polishing the windows and floors until they’re shiny enough to use as mirrors!
- The Gatekeepers of the Phones (Reception): If you call us, a real live human will actually answer! The amazing reception team is holding down the fort, calmly answering your burning questions and secretly getting everything perfectly prepped for interviews and for the whirlwind that is Enrolment.
Current Campus Vibes: A Quick Summary
Energy levels: 50% (Normally 110%)
Main Sound: A solitary piece of tumbleweed blowing through the canteen.
Current Champion of the Hallways: The automatic sensor lights, which are very confused about why nobody is walking under them.
It’s weirdly peaceful, a little bit eerie, and honestly? We miss the chaos, but enjoy your summer break, get some sun, and rest up – because these sparkling clean, perfectly manicured halls are going to feel very empty until you all come back to wake them up!
