A Sweet Success: DVC Brews Up £222.01 for Macmillan

The aroma of freshly baked treats and hot coffee filled the air here at Dearne Valley College recently as we proudly hosted our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning.

It was a heartwarming event that saw students, staff, and the wider College community come together for a fantastic cause: Macmillan Cancer Support.

From classic chocolate cakes and cookies to perfectly brewed cups of tea and coffee, the spread was truly impressive! The event was a testament to the generosity and community spirit that thrives here at DVC. A huge thank you goes out to every single person who contributed – whether you spent time in the kitchen baking or simply stopped by to buy a bun and make a donation, your efforts made this day a resounding success.

The atmosphere was buzzing with friendly conversation and a shared sense of purpose. More than just a morning of delicious indulgence, it was a chance to reflect on the vital work Macmillan does, providing physical, financial, and emotional support to people living with cancer.

We are absolutely thrilled to announce the final fundraising total. Thanks to the incredible kindness and collective support of everyone at Dearne Valley College, we raised an outstanding £222.01 for Macmillan Cancer Support!

This fantastic figure demonstrates the power of our college community when we come together. Every penny raised will help Macmillan continue their crucial services, making a real difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.
