Health and Wellbeing Week 2026

Across campus next week, current students can take a break from their daily schedule to prioritise their health and wellbeing.

Each day gives you the chance to explore activities that refresh your mind and body.


Monday 19th January

Music Technology Workshop (Bookable)

Delivered by Mikey Brennan from Noise Academy Ltd, these interactive workshops introduce beatboxing and music technology. Sessions encourage self-expression, rhythm and performance in a relaxed group setting.

Tuesday 20th January

Wellbeing Fair (Drop-in)

Explore advice, resources, and support from providers below in the Bistro. Experts are on hand to help you feel more confident and supported in looking after your wellbeing.

Journalling and Positive Affirmations (Bookable)

Explore self-expression, boost confidence, and nurture self-compassion in this creative, reflective workshop led by Sara Teal. Using guided journalling prompts and positive affirmations, sessions can be adapted for different literacy levels and SEND needs.

Group Reiki Experience (Bookable)

Experience deep relaxation and a nervous system reset in this gentle group session led by Sara Teal. Reiki is offered without physical contact or from a respectful distance and can be particularly helpful for students who struggle with talking.

Meditation, Breathwork, and Mindfulness (Bookable)

Hosted by Sara Teal, this session introduces practical techniques to manage stress, improve focus, and support wellbeing. Students will try guided relaxation, breathing exercises, and grounding techniques.

Wednesday 21st January

Silent Disco (Bookable)

Led by The Silent Disco Company, wireless headphones create a fun and inclusive space to dance freely. Students can enjoy music, boost confidence, and connect with others in a lively group environment.

Bracelet Scoobie and Wellbeing Jar Crafts (Bookable)

Hands-on creative sessions focused on relaxation, mindfulness, and social connection. Making bracelets and wellbeing crafts offers a calm space to unwind and express creativity.

Thursday 22nd January

Wellbeing Goat Walking and Petting Sessions (Bookable)

A unique wellbeing experience combining nature, gentle movement, and animal interaction. Goat walking sessions promote calm, relaxation, and connection with the outdoors.

HIIT Sessions (Bookable)

Inclusive, high-energy fitness sessions designed to support wellbeing through physical activity with Lync Active. Taking part can help reduce stress, improve mood, boost confidence, and increase energy levels. Sessions are suitable for all abilities, with participants encouraged to work at their own pace.

Please note: suitable sports clothing and trainers must be worn to take part.

Friday 23rd January

Glow in the Dark Dodgeball (Bookable)

End the week with a fun, dodgeball competition combining movement, teamwork, and friendly competition. Active play boosts energy, confidence, and enjoyment in a lively group setting.
