Easter Break arrangements and update for learners

2 April 2020

Thank you for continuing to engage in your learning with us and for the positive and creative way you have embraced working with tutors.

We recognise that for many of you, the last two weeks have been particularly challenging. We are proud of your response to online teaching and learning activities and the regular contact you have maintained with tutors, but appreciate that you also may need a break.

Therefore, we have made the following changes for the Easter holiday period:

  • Tutors will be on holiday for some of the break so you should receive communication from them when they will not be available to work online with you.
  • Students should take advantage of the break or catch-up on work already set, if you are behind.
  • Tutors will not set you any new online work during the holiday break, but may mark your existing work or provide feedback on the days they are working from home.
  • From Monday 20th April, tutors will once again work with you in creative and innovative ways and will set new online work and assessment for you.

We also know that you may be worried about how you will develop the practical skills you need to complete your qualification and what our plans are to support you.

You are guaranteed a confirmed place with us from September.

We will ensure that, as soon it is practicable, we make up for the practical skills teaching time you have lost. This will include catch-up practical lessons and workshops in addition to refresher sessions.

Enjoy your Easter break and stay safe.
