Free Back-to-Work Workshops for Employees, Employers and Recruiters

Our free employment workshops support local people and businesses with fulfilling their employment needs. We can help jobseekers to prepare for and secure interviews and employment, and support businesses and recruiters with filling available positions.

Employee Support

If you are searching for work you can get support with a personalised a plan to make sure you retain existing skills and develop new skills ones to help you secure new employment.

You can get support with:

CVs and covering letters
Identifying transferable skills and skills gaps
Online video interviews
Recruitment processes
Job searching and applying online
Registering with agencies
Presentation skills
Building confidence
Accessing other courses in English, Maths and IT

Courses are available at Rotherham College, North Notts College and Dearne Valley College and run for two weeks, three days per week, 9.30am-2.30pm. You will learn in spacious classrooms to adhere to social distancing measures and learning will comprise a blended approach of both face-to-face classroom-based learning and remote learning.

We can also offer tailored solutions for individuals with limited access to laptops.

Employer Support

If you are an employer looking to fill several roles we can work directly with you to design a two to three-week training course to upskill job seekers in-line with your requirements. This offers you the opportunity to employ people who will be ready to hit the ground running.

There’s no cost to you, we simply ask that our trainees are guaranteed an interview at the end of the course.

Recruiter Support

We can help review applicants who have applied (either through the Job Centre, a recruiter or directly to the employer) and select 15-20 applicants to attend a bespoke two to three-week training course, which has been designed to develop the skills required for the available positions.
