Event Manager

Average salary - £27,000*

Event Managers organise, promote and run business, charity and social events.

Day-to-day tasks:

Discussing and suggesting ideas about the type of event the client wants, working to agreed budgets and timescales, researching and booking venues and suppliers and negotiating prices, following health and safety regulations, publicising events and managing the running of events.**

Working environments:

Event venues, a client’s business or on festival sites.

Hotel Manager

Average salary - £28,300*

Hotel Managers are in charge of the day-to-day running of travel accommodation.

Day-to-day tasks:

Greet customers and deal with complaints, set budgets and sales targets, promote the hotel, follow health and safety licencing and laws, manage corporate booking and recruit, train and organise staffing.**

Working environments:

Hotels, hostels, holiday camps or on a cruise ship.
