Food preparation and cooking is a level two qualification that is employer approved and cover a good grounding for a variety of hospitality areas such as front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, cookery and hospitality services all leading to employment opportunities. The NVQs are suitable for anyone either in full-time employment or progressing from a Level 1 qualification or those who are able to start a qualification at Level 2. Our aim is to give you the skills and knowledge to enter the industry and contribute with confidence and professionalism.
You will study a range of topics including:

- Prepare and cook fish, meat, poultry and vegetables
- Prepare cook and finish hot and cold desserts

- At least a level one functional skill or GCSE’s at grade 3 or above
