This provides a vast amount of career opportunities across these different sectors at different levels from junior, middle and higher-level management positions across a variety of business disciplines such as:

A key focus of all our Business courses is around the development of transferable business skills. These are the skills that are in demand by businesses that are learnt on the course and can be transferred during the job application process leading to a successful appointment. These skills are vital for any business role and help to secure both promotional opportunities and progression.
On all Business courses (L1-L6) the primary focus is on developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours to successfully work in a business environment.
You will develop your knowledge across the business disciplines with a focus on the associated skills and behaviours to be successful.
Accounting and Finance will develop your number skills and the ability to interpret financial information to support decision making.
Marketing and Promotion will develop your creative thinking skills to develop creative ideas for attracting and retaining customers. Using IT creatively to produce promotional material and digital content for marketing as well as practical IT skills such as creating spreadsheets, websites and social media content.
For those of you who want to start your own business, a central theme is around developing enterprising skills with the ability to not only develop creative concepts and make proposals but to also consider how to implement them
Good customer service is crucial for business success. You will develop your interpersonal skills which is a key skill for working for any Business and is crucial for developing positive relationships with colleagues and teams.
A focus on Human Resources to develop your understanding of the importance of human resource planning and Recruitment and selection.
You will develop a digital progress plan which will support you to identify suitable job vacancies, produce a CV, covering letter and job application and develop a next steps plan to support your move towards your dream job in Business.
The knowledge, skills and behaviours around this business content will be assessed through a range of:
Written work
Practical work (producing spreadsheets, developing websites, social media content etc)
Presentations / business pitching
Pressure tests
The variety of assessment methods have been designed to support you to demonstrate progression towards the development of your transferable business skills.
There are also options to ‘bolt on’ additional courses such as ACCA L2 so that you gain industry standard qualifications alongside your main programme.
Our higher-level courses (L4-L6) continue this applied theme with an opportunity to focus study at L6 on either a Marketing, Management/HR or Business start up. The direction that you go in is entirely up to you so that you can focus on your area of strength and Business interest.
