This course engages and motivates learners who do not have any formal entry qualifications and are interested in developing skills specific to the maintenance of Motor Vehicles and the various roles that are available in the Retail Motor Industry.
The delivery model focuses on developing a combination of knowledge, skills and behaviours with the flexibility to learn and make progress in manageable steps.
You will study a range of topics including:
Enrichment activities are planned to provide a holistic approach to ensuring you have the opportunity for personal and professional development and develop specific industry skills.
Throughout the programme learners will be supported in filling knowledge gaps using resources on Google classroom, multi-media resources, e-chalk and library resources. Support in English and Maths, support will be embedded into the unit.
The sequence of the programme will incorporate a range of upskilling workshops preparing learners for the next step wither onto a level IMI programme or entry level employment within an auto repair shop or similar automotive company.
Work experience will focus on social enterprise activities such as valeting services and assisting pre-MOT checks.
Our tutors work as team with learners instead of simply instructing – tailoring their teaching to suit learner needs in fantastic facilities.
Candidates must show a genuine interest in learning skills, knowledge and behaviours in the motor vehicle sector.

Turn research ideas into technical plans using computer aided design/modelling (CAD/CAM), research and assess new products and innovations, present design plans and data, oversee maintenance programmes and quality control and manage technicians.**

Design Engineers improve product performance and efficiency while researching and developing new manufacturing ideas and systems
Research new developments, design plans for prototypes, use computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-assisted engineering (CAE) software, collect and analyse data from prototype testing, modify product designs ahead of manufacture and write and present reports.**
