Nail Technician is a substantial vocational qualification for learners seeking a career as a Nail Technician/artist.
Throughout these qualifications, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, communication, problem solving and research skills, also managing clients and how to provide a range of beauty treatments in a realist working environment, which has all the latest treatments, products, techniques and up to date nail bar.
From Level 2 to Level 3 students will undertake practical assessment on real paying clients in a realistic working environment covering a variety of different services. The courses will also include assignments and online exams.Level 2 Award in LED Gel Polish Techniques (part time) – applying, maintaining and removing LED gel polish products to the nails.Level 2 Award in Nail Technology (part time) – practical skills in providing and maintaining nail enhancements using liquid and powder nail systems.Level 2 Certificate in Nail Technology (part time) – All the required elements to work effectively as a nail technician including: providing and maintaining nail enhancements, pedicure, manicure treatments, health and safety and client care. Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology Studies (Full time) and (Part time) The content of this qualification is comprised of all the required elements to work effectively as a nail technician including health and safety, client care and communication, applying and maintaining nail enhancements using either ultra-violet gel or liquid and powder, nail art using both manual and airbrush techniques, electric filing techniques, how to promote products and services and business and teamwork skills. All units in this qualification are mandatory.
