The Media and Photography programme is a one- year course which is geared to teaching you the basics of media and photography. The course is ideal for people who have an interest in the subjects but have no specialist qualifications at GCSE or A-Level.
The aim of the course is to provide you with key skills in a variety of different areas so that you can develop your own aesthetic and learn how to create work in a wide range of mediums. You will be supported by specialist staff that will encourage learning and development of your skills, leading to independent thinking.

The art and design sector is ideal for those who have a creative spark, passion for art and want to pursue a colourful career.
Graphic Designers use illustrative and multimedia techniques to create visual branding, adverts, brochures, magazines, website designs, product packaging and displays.
Discussing requirements with clients, coming up with creative ideas and presenting them, working to budgets and deadlines, explaining requirements to photographers and printers and keeping up to date with design trends and new software tools.**

Product Designers create designs for new products and improve existing ones.
Discuss client requests, explore how existing products work and are used, develop ideas, outline plans, identify suitable product material, utilise computer design software to make blueprints, produce prototypes and test and refine designs.**
