The VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Cosmetic Make-up and Beauty Consultancy is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a beauty consultant. This qualification is designed for learners to gain employment as a beauty consultant, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role. This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a beauty consultant including the mandatory units; applying make-up and instruction of make-up, client care, and health and safety. You will also have the opportunity to further develop your understanding and skills by completing an optional specialist unit providing eyelash and eyebrow treatments. The structure of this qualification will enable you to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required for the job role of beauty consultant. Throughout this qualification you will develop your knowledge and understanding of the skin, health and safety, client care and cosmetic products. You will also develop a range of technical skills enabling you to prepare the skin and apply a variety of make-up products using different techniques. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients.

The opportunity to attend masterclasses and workshops will also be available in subjects such as: face, body and nail art, hair skills and assisting Level 3 Media Make-Up students on location in theatres, fashion shows and more industry experience
