The range of early years qualifications we offer will enable learners to gain the knowledge & experience to allow them to gain employment working with children aged 0-7 years in a range of settings including nurseries and schools or progress to higher education.
The qualifications we offer in Supporting Teaching and Learning will allow learners to gain the knowledge and experience which will allow them to work with children from 5 to 19 years, to prepare them to enter the workforce as teaching assistants and in order to develop vital knowledge, skills and behaviours relevant to the education industry.
Units covered within childcare qualifications provide learners with knowledge, skills and understanding of all safeguarding procedures, how to recognise and respond to abuse and how to deal with disclosures, all necessary skills important for working within the childcare and education industry. Learners will learn about play and learning including how to plan activities to meet children’s individual needs and the practical skills and knowledge to support and prepare colleagues within the workplace by preparing a positive learning environment for children and young people.

Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications offer work placement in the sector. Our learners will build a portfolio of evidence, carry out task-based assessments and be observed in their placement to assess competency.
Within Supporting Teaching and Learning, we offer development of knowledge and skills in the following areas:

• Positive behaviour
• Supporting English and Maths
• Special educational needs and disabilities
• Supporting assessment
Learners will be assessed in the classroom in a variety of ways. This includes written work (using Google Classroom), creating displays and carrying out professional discussions to demonstrate a deeper understanding of their knowledge.
Level 3 qualifications require learners to carry out external assessments alongside those marked internally.
