Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Media, Moving Image and Photography

This course focuses on the creative industries, within the sectors of media and photography. It embraces the ever-changing technologies and platforms associated within the lens-based industries and aims to develop you into a work-ready, creative, independent and highly skilled media and photography practitioner.

Working across either a media or photography pathway or a combination of the two, students will become production ready whilst also exploring the mediums from cultural, historical and academic perspectives. This course will ultimately enable students to work towards the production of a portfolio of creative work for public consumption.

The modules on this course will allow students to work on both self-generated and client-led briefs, which will challenge and inspire students to think creatively. During the course students will develop a range of both media and photography techniques and processes. These skills include both traditional and digital photographic processes as well as film studies and video production.

These skills will enable students to gain work placements, find freelance opportunities and gain an insight into the lens-based industries.

Following completion of this course you’ll be ready to embark on a career in one of the most exciting industries of our current time.
