Student Looks Forward to Career in Motor Industry
Amaad Ayub came to Dearne Valley College from Winterhill School three years ago and is now preparing to move onto employment.
Amaad first started on a Skillbase Programme, then after successfully completing the course, moved onto a Work Skills Programme and then a Fabrication and Welding at Entry 3 course in the Body Shop at Dearne Valley College. Amaad is currently studying the Internship course that he started in September.
During his time at College, Amaad has built up his practical skills, CV and enhanced his skills in maths and English to prepare for the world of employment.
He has undertaken a work placement at Perry’s Vauxhall Car Showroom at Parkgate in Rotherham, where he was in charge of ordering parts and distributing them to customers and garages for one day per week. His future goal is to work full-time in the motor vehicle industry.
Amaad said “This year has gone wonderfully, the tutors have been excellent and I’m looking forward to my career in the Motorcar Industry thanks to Dearne Valley College.”
