What is the Kickstart Scheme?

The Kickstart Scheme is a £2 billion fund intended to create hundreds of thousands of high-quality six-month work placements for young people aged 16 – 24.

We’re working with local employers, through our local Job Centre’s, to offer Kickstart opportunities across a range of industries.

If you’re not currently in full-time education and are unemployed, a Kickstart role – where you can gain valuable work experience on a six-month placement and earn a wage – could be just the boost you need to start your career.

What Jobs are Available?

We’re working with employers from a range of industries to offer Kickstart Scheme placements.
If you’re interested in a Kickstart placement you will:

• Be employed for a minimum of six-months
• Work a minimum of 25 hours per week and earn at least the National Minimum Wage for your age group
• Should not need to undertake extensive training before beginning your placement

RNN Group’s Role in the Kickstart Scheme

At RNN Group we work with thousands of young people and hundreds of local employers every year.
We understand the minimum standards that employers expect from new recruits and place hundreds of apprentices every year.

We will help you gain a Kickstart Scheme by offering:

• Basic training and certifications such as CSCS cards or health and safety at work courses
• Bespoke short courses in areas such as engineering or hospitality
• Support with CV and interview preparation
