Whether you're a School Leaver looking for more information about vocational courses, Apprenticeships and Higher Education; or an Adult wanting to get back into education with a Part-Time course, there is something for everyone!
Our Open Evenings are a great opportunity to meet the Tutors, find out more about our wide range of courses and Apprenticeships, tour our excellent facilities and ask any questions you may have!

You are invited to come along to one of our Taster Days at our Manvers Campus, which will give you the opportunity to try out your chosen course, meet your future course mates, explore the College and take advantage of the fun activities we have planned for you!

Taster Day Itinerary
9.15 - Arrival and registration
9.30 – Taster Session of your chosen course OR Apprenticeship Workshop
12.30 - End of taster session
You will register your attendance first thing, before heading off to your subject taster session or the Apprenticeship workshop which will allow you to gain a sneak peek into life as a DVC student!
If you'd like to bring a friend along with you, please make sure you register for each person attending.
Parent/Guardians are also invited to attend a Coffee Morning from 9.30am to gain information and to ask any questions they may have while you are attending the Taster session.

Success Through Strategic Visualisation Workshop - Implementing strategic plans
£30 per person - Thursday 17th March 2016 (9am until 1pm)
Implementation is an essential part of the strategic planning process, otherwise the plan remains merely a “pipe dream”. Organisations
developing strategic plans should therefore include a process for implementing the plan – in the plan!
The specific implementation process adopted can vary from organisation to organisation, dependent largely on the details of the actual strategic plan, but some common basic steps can assist in the process and ensure that implementation is successful and the strategic plan is effective. This half day course will give managers the tools & techniques to understand how to implement their strategic plans successfully, utilising their workforce to achieve organisational aims and objectives. Delegates will be given an insight into creating the vision and empowering employees to achieve maximum impact.
Sales and Marketing Workshop - A Practical Guide to Strategic Marketing
£30 per person - Thursday 28th April (9am-1pm)
All businesses require a keen and competitive edge to attract new business and retain existing customers. Our sales training solutions have been developed to help organisations do just that.
The course covers, selling or marketing and where they fit, attitudes and techniques, clarifying your objectives, identifying the person with the power, preparation and introduction, identifying the buyer’s real needs, selling the benefits, the trial close, meeting objections, closing the sale, organising yourself to sell, building lasting relationships, the psychology of buying and succeeding against competition. The course is aimed at managers and sales personnel who want to achieve effective B2B selling skills and the course will show delegates that selling is a matter of skill and organisation, both of which can be learned and practiced so that techniques (and results) can be continually improved. The content will sharpen up selling skills and help sales people re-assess how effective they are. It is recommended for individuals with some sales experience as it will challenge value and improve objectivity. Delegates will gain practical tools and techniques to increase confidence and ultimately increase sales!
