Cashless Catering

We are pleased to announce that from November 2014, Dearne Valley College will be implementing a cashless catering system, using the ‘ParentPay’ online software, meaning that students and staff can purchase food and beverages using a pre-paid card, that can be ‘topped-up’ online or using top-up pay points at the College. This will reduce lunchtime queues by offering a more efficient service, provide anonymous free school meals and cut the amount of money students have to carry on their person.

Dearne Valley College students will be receiving a letter by post which will provide them with their individual login details for the ParentPay website at www.parentpay.com and all students will receive training on how to use the system.

There is a wealth of information on the ParentPay website, including how to best utilise the service, how to top up online and support during the set-up of your account. Once you have created an account, you can change the login details to something more memorable, and you will also be able to track previous top-up transactions.

Any amount of money can be added to the pre-paid card, and is then deducted from the pre-paid card per transaction. Students who claim free school meals will automatically have their pre-paid card topped up on a daily basis.

If you have any questions or queries regarding the new cashless payment system, or to contact the College, call 01709 513333.
