Dearne Valley College (DVC) is sending a reminder message out that they are able to work with people facing redundancy or who have recently been made redundant.

The College is urging people worried about their future and unsure what to do next, to contact the College for help, support and advice.

DVC offer a variety of courses for people who are wanting to up-skill and make themselves more employable in today’s job market. We offer access to employment coaches who can work with individuals to assess skills needs, update their CVs and assist with searching for work.

Jodi Greenhoff, Employability and Skills Manager commented:
“We work with many local employers to offer interviews for our customers. All of this is free to individuals who are at risk of being made redundant or who have recently been made redundant *”.

Examples of training available with the Wath-based College include; Business and Administration, Call Centre Operations, Care of the Elderly, Childcare, Construction, Forklift Truck, Health and Social Care, Hospitality and Catering including Food Hygiene, IT Essentials, Literacy, Numeracy and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages), Retail, Security, Warehousing, Logistics and Storage amongst many others.
