The students spent the day running around in their slippers selling raffle tickets around the Wath based campus to win prizes as well as making their own scratch cards to get even more people to dig deep. All the prizes were donated or paid for by the students for this special event with the grand total raised of £332.51.

BBC Children in Need is a charity that is close to the students’ hearts and they relished the opportunity to help out whilst providing some good laughs and fun along the way (and saving on washing clothes!).

BBC Children in Need is the BBC's UK corporate charity. The annual telethon gives a great opportunity for plenty of activity to take place all across the UK to help raise money to help improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

Kate Cobb, DVC Childcare Tutor commented:
“This successful fundraising event was independently organised by a group of students who then gained enthusiastic support from all of the Level 3 Childcare students, the amount raised has exceeded expectations and they should be very proud of themselves”.
