Foundation Degree Travel and Tourism students from Dearne Valley College (DVC) are organising their annual fundraising evening. This year they have chosen to raise awareness and money for Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
The Year 1, Foundation Degree Travel and Tourism students from the Wath based college in Rotherham have been working together to organise a fashion event in the heart of the Dearne as part of their Events and Venue Management unit.
The evening will include fashion shows with Dearne Valley College students modelling the latest collections from fashion boutiques Mode and Leather and Lime from Barnsley.
On Thursday 12th May 2011 the event will take place at The Park Inn Hotel Rotherham. The entrepreneurial students have organised the whole evening which will include; a fashion show, boutique fashion market selling a range of clothes and accessories, a raffle featuring beauty treatments and a silent auction where the highest bidders will win some top prizes.
Lisa Bramley, DVC Travel and Tourism Tutor commented:
“It’s great that our students are once again raising awareness and money for an amazing charity. Last year was great and this year is set to be better!”.
Guests will be welcomed with a complimentary drink on arrival at 7.00pm with the shows starting at 8.00pm. The market and auctions will be happening throughout the evening and all money raised will be donated to the Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Tickets are £5.00 for adults and £2.50 for children.
Tickets are now on sale and available from the Manvers Campus Reception and the Park Inn Hotel, Manvers, Rotherham.
