Beauty Therapy students from Dearne Valley College (DVC) were treated to an educational visit from an industry expert.

Eve Taylor, founder of the Institute of Clinical Aromatherapy is regarded as the pioneer of modern aromatherapy by professional skin care therapists worldwide.

In 1968, Eve Taylor launched the first professional aromatherapy skin care line to contain only pure natural essential oils without cheap synthetic filters. She has an OBE for her service and dedication to the industry.

Based in Peterborough, Eve travelled to the Wath based college in order for the Level 3 Beauty Therapy students to mix their own oils whilst listening to her work experiences and to ask questions.

Sonia Hodgson, DVC Beauty Therapy Tutor commented:

“We are delighted that Eve has taken the time to come to our college to talk to our students about her experiences and knowledge of the industry. The students really enjoyed listening to her and will now hopefully go away and take inspiration from Eve to follow their own career aspirations”.

The Wath based college has two training salons offering beauty therapy treatments from facials, manicures and pedicures to massages using Eve Taylor products.

Dearne Valley College are now accepting applications for many vocational courses starting September 2011.
