Enhance your Counselling Skills with Dearne Valley College!

Date: 26/04/2013

Dearne Valley College have introduced a brand new, part-time course to their curriculum for prospective students looking to build upon, or gain fundamental skills for counselling.

The Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills will begin in September of this year, and will be delivered by an industry-experienced tutor, who will work with each of their students to develop individual skills and attributes.

For those considering a career in counselling and related areas, this course offers an excellent stepping stone to higher level qualifications and the opportunity to progress from an introduction-level course, or for individuals who have gained experience in a Counselling position or a ‘helping’ role and would like to  transform these into valid qualifications. The course would also suit those looking to enhance vital skills required for roles in Healthcare, Social Care, Public Services, Management, Human Resources and other frontline services.

The course will develop a variety of practical and transferable attributes including communication, confidence-building and interpersonal skills, and classes will include smaller and larger group sessions, practical skills development and role-play, among others.

The course is accredited by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) and is ideal for those looking to enhance skills for an existing role, or for those looking to progress to a level 3 qualification, and beyond.

Could this course be for you? The number of places on this course are limited, so act fast to secure yours now! The start date for this course is the 25th September 2013, and our friendly Admissions and Customer Services team are on hand to advise you on applications and the finer details of the up-coming course.
