Prospective adult learners who are looking for the perfect, flexible, part-time course to develop their skills are invited to attend an open event at Dearne Valley College to discover a wide range of vocational courses and training opportunities! Whether you are looking to gain specialist attributes for a particular industry, or general skills to boost your employability, Dearne Valley College offers more than 160 part-time courses in areas such as Accounting, Functional English and Maths, Construction and Beauty.
Designed with employers in mind, our range of part-time courses deliver the skills required by modern industry, and we ensure that our high quality courses are accessible by delivering them at a number of venues across the South Yorkshire region.
The open event is a fantastic opportunity for prospective learners to meet Tutors and staff from the Wath-based College and gain information, advice and guidance about the finer details of the course, such as entry requirements and progression routes, as well as information about funding and our fantastic student support, which was ‘highly commended’ by education watchdog, Ofsted, earlier this year. Visitors can also tour the college campus and it’s teaching and leisure facilities, including a dedicated training and commercial salon, a fully equipped Construction building and Motor vehicle workshops that reflect real working environments.
The College also offers over 70 full-time courses, alongside a range of industry-led, Higher Level courses including Foundation Degrees and Higher National Diplomas, and boasts an excellent Apprenticeship scheme, placing talented young people into work placements across a range of industries.
The event is taking place at the Manvers Campus on Tuesday 15th July, 5pm-8pm.
