DVC Sports are inviting the local community to join in the fun whilst raising money for charity.

Raising money for this year’s Sports Relief cause, the Wath-based sports centre on the campus of Dearne Valley College (DVC) will be charging £2.00 per person for taking part in two hours of exercise activities in the sports hall.

Taking place on Friday 23 March from 6.00pm until 8.00pm, the fitness event is open to participants aged 14 years and above; consisting of spinnercise, circuit training and the new fitness class craze ‘Bokwa’.

Adam Stancey, DVC Sports Centre Manager commented:
“Come and join in the fun, knowing your getting a workout whilst at the same time raising money for a worthwhile cause. We would encourage families and groups of friends to get involved for a different, alternative evening”.

The money raised will be used by Sports Relief to support people living unimaginably tough lives, both on our doorstep in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.

Participants need to bring with them suitable, comfortable fitness clothing and footwear, a drink, their entry fee and fancy dress is optional! No need to book just turn up.

DVC Sports Centre memberships are available from £17.00 per month for further details contact DVC Sports on 01709 513115 or visit
