Construct Your Career at Dearne Valley College with a Building Crafts Course!

Date: 14/12/2012

Are you looking to get into a career in building crafts, but aren’t sure of the area in which you should specialise? Dearne Valley College are on the lookout for practical, hands-on, prospective students for their CSkills Building Craft Occupations Course.

If you have ever found yourself wondering whether you’d be a dab hand at joinery, or a pro at painting and decorating, then come and try them for yourself; all the while gaining an accredited Level 1 qualification. The course is made up of a variety of modules, each specialising in a different area of the construction industry, and is designed to allow it’s students to sample each area before they progress onward into a specific qualification in their chosen trade. Dearne Valley College also offers progression onto further, specialised, building trade courses should you decide to continue studying with us!

The array of trade areas includes Brickwork, Carpentry and Joinery, Painting and Decorating, Plastering, Wall and Floor tiling and Basic Plumbing. Teaching will be held in the specially-designed Construction building on the Manvers Campus site of Dearne Valley College in Wath-upon-Dearne. The building is fitted out with all the necessary, modern equipment and tools you require to be successful in gaining the qualification and testing out your newly-found skills.

The courses are due to commence in January 2013, and if you would like any further information or you would like to receive an application for the CSkills Building Craft Occupations Course, then simply give the college a call on 01709 513355 or email!
