How to Apply

Full-Time Study

If you intend to study for a Foundation Degree, you will need to apply for a place through UCAS.

You can apply through UCAS by clicking here.

Instructions on how to apply are on the UCAS website. UCAS also produces a guide ‘Applying Online’, which you can download from the site. We will receive your application directly from UCAS and you will be invited to attend a Course Interview and Assessment.

Part-Time Study

Please complete the online enquiry form below and we will send you an application form. Once you have completed the application, you will be invited to attend an interview with the course tutor before being offered a place.

Part time application process

Course Interview
You will be invited to meet our teaching team from the subject area that you are interested in. This appointment is an opportunity for you to ask any questions that you may have about the course. You will also undertake a course interview, this is to ensure that you are suitable for the course and fully understand our
expectations in regards to attendance, study and progress through the course.
Depending on your previous qualifications, your English and Maths skills may be assessed to identify any additional support you may require to successfully complete the course.

If your Course Interview has a successful outcome, you will receive either an offer or a conditional offer for a place on the course at Dearne
Valley College. A conditional offer may be subject to conditions such as exam results and references.

Additional Learning Support
You have the opportunity to disclose any additional learning support that you may require throughout the application process.
Depending on the type of support you need, you may be invited to meet the college’s Disability Officer, who will work with you to ensure you have the correct support in place.
