Governance

The Board of Governors is the group responsible for ensuring that the college is governed, managed and operates in accordance with the provisions of the Education Acts as determined by the Articles and Instruments of Government 1 January 2008, namely:  

  • To determine the educational mission and character of the college
  • To be satisfied as to the effective and efficient use of resources
  • To approve the annual budget
  • The senior staff appointments (designated posts)  

The framework for pay and conditions of service for all other staff in order to fulfil its responsibilities, the Board of Governors conducts specific business through the following sub-committees, each sub-committee having its own terms of reference, meeting throughout the year:  

  • Audit Committee
  • Finance and General Purposes Committee
  • Standards Committee
  • Personnel and Remuneration Committee
  • Search Committee
