Open Evening for Aspiring Apprentices!

Young people who are considering an Apprenticeship are invited to attend an Open Evening at Dearne Valley College in celebration of the upcoming National Apprenticeship Week, taking place on Thursday 10th March, 5pm-8pm at the Manvers campus.

Guests will be able to speak to the College’s expert team about the types of Apprenticeships on offer, entry requirements, average wages and can even apply for live vacancies on the evening.

Those considering their next steps, including school leavers thinking about full-time and vocational courses, prospective students looking for a Higher Education courses or those thinking about part-time adult study, are also urged to attend to tour the College, found out about the opportunities available and speak to the College’s Tutors.

Dearne Valley College will also be celebrating National Apprenticeship Week, which this year takes place between 14-th 18th March, by awarding five current Apprentices, nominated by their employers, for a prestigious DVC award for going above and beyond their role and achieving success. The College will be sharing their winning Apprentices’ stories for each day of National Apprenticeship Week on their social media channels in hopes of inspiring the next generation.

Dearne Valley College’s Business Development Manager, Cathy Kemp added: “Apprenticeships are a fantastic route into a successful career for a young person, providing an entry into a nationally-recognised qualification development path, and the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience, technical skills and knowledge, whilst also earning a wage.”
